The Permanent Household Recovery Facility in Valhalla (H-MRF) accepts household hazardous waste and other items worthy of special handling from Westchester County residents on a year-round, appointment-only basis. The county also accepts hazardous chemicals and fluorescent bulbs from schools, institutions and businesses that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG). The facility is located at 15 Woods Road in Valhalla, NY (Sprain Parkway, take the exit for Eastview/100C, Valhalla Campus, past Westchester Medical Center, across from the Corrections Department).

Appointments—Reserve A Timeslot
Appointments for residentially generated waste can be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (excluding Federal holidays) from 10 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide a current photo ID (i.e., a driver's license) as proof of residency -  
make a reservation for your appointment.

Fees
Some fees may apply, if you live out of district. You'll find a fee schedule on their website.
